Course Description

This five-day course is a pre-requisite for taking the MDE certification exam for UST Inspectors. The course prepares experienced tank personnel with the specific requirements and tasks necessary for compliance inspection of existing UST’s. Details of required inspection items, along with necessary tools and site work are reviewed.  Although this course is organized to follow the MDE Inspection Report, this class is intended for UST inspectors all over the country.

Students must achieve an 80% or better on the exam to receive a Certificate of Successful Completion. This certificate is required by MDE to take the state UST Inspector exam.

The course begins at 8:00 am (Eastern Time) and concludes at 4:30 pm (Eastern Time). There is a lunch break from approximately 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and various breaks throughout the day.
