National Petroleum Training Institute is a Hands-On-Training facility located in Owings Mills, Maryland. Our unique training center is the only one of its kind in the country and includes a state-of-the-art classroom and an outdoor instruction area which contains three underground and two aboveground storage tanks.
Datanet courses begin at 8:00 am (Eastern Time) and conclude at 4:30 pm (Eastern Time). Some course schedules may vary based on content. There is a lunch break from approximately 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and various breaks throughout the day. Note: Lunch is not provided. Refer to the Student Guide document for more information.
This one-day course specifically addresses the requirements for proper training of Class A, B and C Operators per the guidance provided by the EPA. The MDE regulations are quite specific on the requirements of Fuel Facility Owners concerning the training and certifications for all Facility Operators (i.e., A, B and C personnel).
Awarded a Certificate of Successful Completion
This five-day course is specifically designed for contractors, engineers and/or owners who are responsible for the inspection of shop fabricated and smaller field erected aboveground storage tanks (AST’s) of petroleum and chemical products. It meets the requirements of 40 CFR 112 as an industry standard.
